He Answers Us With Awesome Deeds
When Jesus says, "Come unto me," how often you misunderstand.
You believe that He is after an obedience that will entail self-sacrifice and drudgery.
Look into His eyes, Beloved, and see the truth; your Lord desires your love. Worldly escapes provide suppression of your fears, but in God's presence you will find your fears calmed.
Will you run away? Or would you prefer to stand in His presence and watch in awe as He speaks peace over the storm tossed waves?
Scripture: "Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior... who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil..." Psalm 65:4, 5a, 7
